Heroes in Hawaiian Shirts

Album: Ugly Baby Contest (1999) and Return of the Sequel (2000)
Background: This is Ed's song about every trite, wannabe "rock" band. At least that's our story, and we're sticking to it!

Obsessed with the fame of the rock n’ roll gods
Big false idols with the shiny guitars
Livin out the American dream
Of pain, anguish, and Hawaiian trees
Brother, sister come along
To hear me play my cover song
Sayin’ crap you can’t understand
Cause I can scream louder than you can!

Am I one in a million? Will I burn out in the sun?
Does it matter if I die or live out all my empty dreams?

One can sense the devil near
To turn a life to a world of fear
Sold my soul to be the best
Playin’ better than the rest

Livin’ the life of rock n’ roll
Nothing else can fill this hole
All the power, all the fame
To ease the mind, to hide the shame

Am I one in a million? Will I burn out in the sun?
Does it matter if I die or live out all my empty dreams?

Hereos in Hawaiian shirts
Dream of bliss in a world of hurt
Born to suffer from boy to man
Forever stuck in a four piece band

Played my covers to the fullest degree
Devil’s finger’s pointing at me
Sold my soul to be the best
Now I burn out like the rest

Am I one in a million? Will I burn out in the sun?
Does it matter if I die or live out all my empty dreams?

Chips a Oi

Album: Return of the Sequel (2000)
Background: This song is a cover of an Aceholes song for the split we were supposed to do with them. If the lyrics don't make sense, that's because a) it's an Aceholes cover and b) we changed a few bad words...

Hey mommy
Gimme some spankin’ food
I hate broccoli
I want something good

Hey Janie
Gimme some honkin hugs
I hate horseplay
Let’s go straight to bread

Gimme a cookie!
Gimme a cookie!
Gimme a cookie!
Gimme a cookie!

Chips a oi!
Chips a oi!
Chips a oi!
Chips a oi!

Skankin’ With the Milk Man

Album: Return of the Sequel (2000)
Background: This is the second of a pair of Aceholes covers done for a split with them that never materialized. Note that they managed to rhyme "man" with "man".

Skankin’ with the milk man
Riots in my new vans
Skankin with the milk man
We’re worse than the other bands
Skankin’ with the milk man
Cartons over soda cans
Riding in the tin van

Just a minority, not a priority
A cancer of society’s brain
Just a minority, not a priority
A cancer of society’s brain

Skankin’ with the milk man
Playin’ with the metal bands
Skankin’ with the milk man
Try to be a punk band
Skankin’ with the milk man
Messin’ up the streets man

Just a minority, not a priority
A cancer of society’s brain
Just a minority, not a priority
A cancer of society’s brain

National Treasures

Album: Return of the Sequel (2000)
Background: The needed fifth song for our second release. It's Dino's wacky Arabian lounge music song...

*Instrumental*

Master Adventure Man

Album: Return of the Sequel (2000)
Background: Another Eddie Tsang peice, this song is vaguelly about someone we know.

Lurk in the dark, stealing the heart
of the fair skinned maiden, Antigone

Stealing her soul, filling her hole
From the dark jaws of death he slays Democracy

El dinero es muy guapo
pero esta muy malo si caliente

From the firey pits of hell, we buy and we sell
But the fish heads and cow tales are too far apart

What's going on? Up in the sky?
It's the super hero with blonde hair and blue eyes
Let's all shout hooray, 'cause he's saving the day
Unless you're Canadian like Dave Coulier!

Favorite band, Sonic Youth fan
Being pretentious as much as he can

See him up there, up on the stairs
Of the house of the rich, he never will care

Mein faubun ist, Blan un das ist
Ni joong ye ni se nee Gian kna

From the firey pits of hell, we buy and we sell
But the fish heads and cow tales are too far apart

What's going on? Up in the sky?
It's the super hero with blonde hair and blue eyes
Let's all shout hooray, 'cause he's saving the day
Unless you're Canadian like Dave Coulier!
